    Relaxed Day on Islay

Today was a mixed day on Islay, weather-wise that is. We had clouds, some sunshine and while I type this blog it has started to drizzle. Our very relaxed day started at Islay House Square and, as you can see from the picture, our wee girl had fun at the excellent children’s playground at Port Mor later in the afternoon. Afterwards we had a coffee at the Rhinns cafe, inside Port Mor, and on our way home a photo shoot with the lambs near Finlaggan. The images show the Persabus Pottery which is currently being transformed into a Tea Room, but more about that later. The Paps of Jura were absent all day, quite in contrast with yesterday. There are several images of the lambs and there is the chambered cairn at Port Charlotte.

  • Isle Islay's Space

The Isle of Islay is the southern most island of the Southern Hebrides of Scotland. The island is known for its stunning and unspoilt scenery, the eight working malt whisky distilleries, the wildlife, the unique landscape and the little over 3000 friendly people that live here, also called Ileach. The most comprehensive website of Islay is www.islayinfo.com and this account is linked to that website.
