    A Wild Day on Islay

We had a somewhat wild and wet day on Islay. We spent the day in Bowmore doing the shopping and admiring the new layout of the Square which is really nice. Sorry but I don’t have any images at this point but will get some pictures of the square later. I personally think that it has improved considerably as well as the parking space opposite the Harbour Inn. We spoke to several people and most of them are quite happy with the improved square, it certainly looks better than it was. It was a real autumn day on Islay today. We had quite a bit of wind and many showers and in between some really nice clear spells, especially the one later on in the afternoon at Portnahaven and Port Wemyss. It gave us the chance to have a lovely walk. In between we had a great coffee at Debbies together with Christine Logan who told me that her mother of 96, Lily MacDougall, has a new laptop!! Amazing isn’t it? We will certainly visit Lily this week at Caol Ila. I hope you enjoy the pictures, the waves at Portnahaven were quite impressive!
