Sunday and Monday were miserable days, weatherwise that is. We haven't seen the sun and Tuesday wasn't much better although there were some dry spells. Today was a different story, there were some showers but some beautiful clear spells as well and we were glad we saw the sun again. We spent the morning having a nice beach walk at Machir Bay and in the afternoon we gave Annika a good time at the playground in Bowmore where we met the Lady of the Isles! Have a look at the very high tide of Loch Indaal, seen from Bridgend. Only two more days left before we leave for the mainland on Saturday morning....
The last weeks have been quite windy from time to time which prevented me from using the telelens every day. There were however some good opportunities for the big lens too and this last week I've tried to take pictures of Oystercatchers in flight, they are amongst my favourite birds on Islay. Below is one of my attempts.
I looked outside this morning and noticed that we have very wet and grey weather on Islay this morning, not the stuff you want to wake up for. It's only a couple of days ago that we spent a lovely afternoon at Claggain Bay so here is a nice picture of sunny Claggain Bay to cheer you (and me) up!
